ARGOMENTI: International Area
VENUE: The school & workshop will take place at the "Biblioteca Francescana" in Ravello (Salerno), Italy.
AIMS: The week aims to offer a general overview of some recent topics in the area of optimal control for ordinary differential equations, with a pecial emphasis on pde's techniques, Hamilton-Jacobi equations, differential games and singular problems. Some emerging topics related to optimal control will be also presented. This event is part of the training activity of the SADCO ITN (http://itn-sadco.inria.fr/) and is
also open to other participants.
The school will start on September 3, 2012, and will end on September 6, 2012.
Five courses will be delivered:
* Zvi ARTSTEIN, Weizmann Institute: "Control of coupled fast and slow dynamics"
* Piermarco CANNARSA and Carlo SINESTRARI, Università di Roma "Tor Vergata": "Optimal
control, Hamilton-Jacobi equations and singularities in euclidean and riemaniann spaces"
* Pierre CARDALIAGUET, Université Paris IX Dauphine: "Optimal control and mean field games"
* Matt R. JAMES, Australian National University: "Quantum control"
* Benedetto PICCOLI, Rutgers University, Camden: "Intelligent groups and sparse controls"
There will be time for discussions every day after the end of the lectures. A poster session is also planned for the afternoon of September 4.
WORKSHOP (Friday, September 7)
Following the school there will be a one day workshop with several talks given by leading experts in the field. The workshop program will be available in April on the website of the conference.
