Mercoledi' 25 luglio 2012 alle ore 12:15 in aula 1BC45, Olivier Glass (Universite' Paris-Dauphine) terra' un seminario dal titolo "Local exact controllability for the 1D compressible Navier-Stokes equation".

-Abstract
We consider the 1D isentropic compressible Navier-Stokes equation in an interval of the real line. Here, the boundary conditions are not prescribed in advance, and can be chosen as a control, that is, a way to influence the system in an expected way. I will discuss a result of controllability to constant states, that is, the following question: given some initial data (for the density and the velocity) in the interval, is it possible to choose relevant boundary conditions, so that the corresponding solution of the system reaches a prescribed constant state at a prescribed time T?
