The Math Department of the University of Padova will be called after the name of TULLIO LEVI-CIVITA
November, 25th 2016, 09:00 am - at Aula Magna of the University of Padova, Palazzo del Bo, via 8 Febbraio 1848, n.2, Padova, Italy.
Greetings will be given by the dean of the University, by the dean of the Math Department, by the president of the town Jewish community, by a Tullio Levi-Civita's great-grandchild, and by the president of the head of the Padova University Press.
Three presentations will follow: one concerning the history of Padova in Levi-Civita's time, a second one on the figure of Levi-Civita in history of mathematics, and, finally, a third one directed to a large audience upon Levi-Civita's mathematics.
