-Abstract
The bifurcations that occur in dynamical systems with symmetry have been studied a great deal and much is known. However, the role of conserved quantities is not so well-understood, and in this talk I will show how the geometry of symplectic reduction governs the bifurcations that arise, and illustrate the results with some examples.
