PhD Positions in Computational Mathematics, Linz, Austria

ARGOMENTI: International Area

Announcement of open PhD positions within the frame of the newly installed Doctoral Program (DK) "Computational Mathematics: Numerical Analysis and Symbolic Computation".

This interdisciplinary PhD research program (DK) will be financed by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and will begin on October 1, 2008.

It involves the institutes for Applied Geometry, Computational Mathematics, Industrial Mathematics, and Symbolic Computation (RISC) of the Johannes Kepler University, and the Johann Radon Institute for Computational and Applied Mathematics (RICAM) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

The proposed DK will build on the expertise accumulated within the framework of the FWF Special Research Program SFB F013 "Numerical and Symbolic Scientific Computing", a research network consisting of exactly the same participating institutes.
