The University of Luxembourg has the following vacancy in the Mathematics Research Unit of its Faculty of Sciences, Technology and Communication

Research associate position in mathematics (M/F) (Code: F1-060091)
Temporary contract for two years, renewable up to five years, 40 hours/week, starting 1 March 2011 (or later)

Deadline for applications: January 31, 2011 (November 30, 2010 for non-EU citizens who need to apply for a residence and work permit)

Possible research areas: Higher structures, supergeometry, noncommutative geometry, and related questions in physics

Requirements: Ph.D. in mathematics of high quality, post-doctoral experience of at least five years, relevant publication record in one of the preceding areas

-appreciable independence in research
-willingness to integrate and ability to assist in coaching the existing team
-good written and oral skills in English
-a limited teaching activity of 2-3 hours/week
