Lunedi' 26 Settembre 2011 alle ore 12:15 in aula 2AB40, Hung Vinh Tran (University of California, Berkeley) terra' un seminario dal titolo "Homogenization of weakly coupled systems of Hamilton-Jacobi equations with fast switching rates".

-Abstract
We study the homogenization of weakly coupled systems of Hamilton-Jacobi equations with fast switching rates ( 1/epsilon) and prove that all the solutions converge to the same limit, which is the solution of a Cauchy problem with appropriate effective Hamiltonian and initial data. We then analyze the initial layers, which appear naturally in the problem, and various properties of the effective Hamiltonian corresponding to the weakly coupled system. This is a joint work with Hiroyoshi Mitake.
