She is full Professor at the University of Milano Bicocca since 2001. Her research interests include dierent directions in the eld of nonlinear analysis with application to the variational approach to chaotic and complex trajectories in Hamiltonian dynamical systems, specially in celestial mechanics and pattern formation mechanisms for nonlinear reaction diusion and Schrodinger systems. She is the author of about 80 papers, published on the major international mathematical journals. Terracini has act as a referee for a number of international journals. Moreover she has been invited to speak in many Italian and foreign Universities such as Paris VI and IX, the Paris Astronomic Observatory, the Courant Institute in New York, Winsconsin University at Madison, Rutgers University, USC, San Diego, CMAF in Lisbon and EPF in Lausanne.
