Mercoledì 22 Maggio alle ore 16:00 in Aula 1BC45 il Prof. Christian Giardinà dell'Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia terrà un seminario intitolato "Boundary-driven interacting particle systems"

We present a large class of interacting particle systems connected at their boundaries to energy/density reservoirs. Due to the presence of reservoirs, the system is a non-equilibrium steady state. It is possible to give a rigorous description of those systems via the construction of a dual process. I shall explain the scheme which leads to the exact solution, that is based on representation theory of Lie-algebras and use of symmetries.
