Quantum Logic and Non-Commutative Geometry


Il giorno 18 febbraio alle ore 15:00 in Aula 2AB/40, il Prof. Pieralberto Marchetti, del Dipartimento di Fisica (Padova) terrĂ  un seminario dal titolo "Quantum Logic and Non-Commutative Geometry".

We propose a general scheme for the "logic" of elementary propositions of physical systems, encompassing both classical and quantum cases, in the framework given by Non-Commutative Geometry. It involves the non-commutative version of measurable bounded functions, arising as envelope of the C* algebra which identifies the topology of the (non-commutative) phase space. We outline some consequences of this proposal in different physical systems.
