We introduce the topic of integer programming, focusing on recent developments. We present the necessary tools from polyhedral theory and give a general understanding of several classical families of valid inequalities, revealing the relationship between these families.

-Breve curriculum
Gerard Cornuejols is a professor at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and the University of Marseille. He is a past co-winner of the Fulkerson Prize (2000) offered jointly by the American Math Society and the Math Programming Society, and a past co-winner of the SIAM Outstanding Paper Prize (2004). He was editor-in-chief of
Mathematics of Operations Research from 1998 to 2003.
