The Mathematical Institute of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the University of Cologne invites applications for the position of a tenured appointment as Professor (W 2) in pure Mathematics Candidates should have a Ph.D. and several years of postdoctoral research experience in Algebra, preferably in representation theory.

The successful candidate is expected to contribute in the teaching programmes of the Mathematical Institute and participate in the DFG-Graduiertenkolleg "Global structures in geometry and analysis" as well as the DFG-priority program "Representation Theory".
