Lecturer in Mathematics (temporary, 5 years)

University College Dublin is seeking to appoint a temporary Lecturer in Mathematics
for 5 years in the UCD School of Mathematical Sciences.
UCD School of Mathematical Sciences is committed to research and teaching across
the mathematical sciences, including Mathematics, Applied and Computational
Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science, and Meteorology and Climate Science.
The advertised position concerns the discipline of Mathematics.
The successful candidate will be expected to engage in research in some aspect of
mathematics (Algebra or Analysis), including supervision of research students and
projects, and to contribute to the School’s teaching programmes.

Analysis will be considered.
2010 Salary Scale: €35,355 - €81,452 per annum
2011 Salary Scale: €31,820 - €73,307 per annum*
*Please note that all new entrants to the public sector as of 01 January 2011 will be
subjected to a revised scale.
