“Categorical Künneth formulas for cohomological motives”

Abstract
I will talk about recent work with Timo Richarz, in which we approach the question how to decompose motivic sheaves on a product of two varieties $X \times Y$, in terms of sheaves on $X$ and on $Y$. I will attempt to motivate the question step by step, including a review of tensor products of infinity categories, and then outline the main result of the present work (https://arxiv.org/abs/2503.14416).
