On the occasion of the International Day of Women in Mathematics, the Department of Mathematics is pleased to host an event dedicated to the scientific work and legacy of two fundamental figures in modern mathematics and computer science. The story develops from the contributions of Maryam Mirzakhani and Grace Murray Hopper, whose work has profoundly influenced contemporary research, opening new perspectives across different areas of mathematics and computation. Through their results and impact, the event offers an overview of the evolution of mathematical and computational ideas over time.

The seminar will be held in English. Admission is free, but registration is required.
