Short Bio
Serena Cenatiempo is a full Professor in Mathematical Physics at Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI). She holds a PhD from Sapienza University of Rome; her academic journey includes postdoctoral positions at Roma Tre University, Hausdorff Center for Mathematics in Bonn, and ETH Zurich. Her research focuses on equilibrium and non-equilibrium properties of interacting quantum systems: emergence of collective behavior, derivation of effective evolution equations and universality. Prof. Cenatiempo was an invited speaker at the International Congress on Mathematical Physics (2018) and the Italian Mathematical Union Congress (2019). She is the recipient of several significant research grants, including an ERC Starting Grant, and is actively involved in GSSI's PhD program and international relations.
