Course Content:

The course will cover advanced research topic in CyberSecurity, among which:
  • User Authentication
  • Access Control
  • Database Security
  • Malicious Software
  • Denial of Service
  • Intrusion Detection Systems
  • Firewall and Intrusion Prevention Systems
  • Buffer Overflow
  • Sofware Security
  • Operating System Security
  • Trusted Computing
For each topic, there will be a theoretical part followed by a part with practical application of the topic.

This is intended to be an interactive class: class participation is strongly recommended. Sleeping during the class is optional, but not recommended.

Grading Criteria:

The exam will be held in written form and will verify the students' knowledge of the topics covered in class. The exam will include both the Lecture done by Prof. Conti and by Prof. Migliardi.
