Reza Khoshkangini (Khoshangiz)
PhD Student in Computer Science
My name is Reza Khoshkangini, originialy from Iran. I am currently a PhD student in computer science at University of Padova (Italy) under guidance of Dr. Annapaola Marconi. I joined DAS Unit (since 2015) in Smart Community Lab at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) in Trento, Italy to work on STREETLIFE (Long-Running Game) project. My PhD research topic is recommender system and personalization in context of smart cities. Particularly, I work on a type of Recommender System that acts as a PCG framework to automate the generation of personalized game content in a Long-Running Game (Gamification) project.
I did my Associates Degree (Software Engineering) in Shamsipour Institute of Technology, Tehran, Iran (2005-08). After complating of my AD degree, I decided to study further in the field of computer engineering to attain my Bachelor's Degree in Islamic Azad University, Qods Branch, Tehran, Iran (2009-11). In 2011 I joined the Master's program in Information System Management with the International School of Information Management (ISIM) at the University of Mysore, India (2011-13).
I am now completely absorbed by the challenge of solving complex problems in Game and Gamification such as effective gamification, long term retainment, which are biggest challenges in gamification in the context of smart cities. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning excite me also because they are becoming a potpourri of knowledge.
