Hi, I am Matteo Ciman, a PostDoc Researcher in Computer Science at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. I was born in 1988 in Arzignano, near Vicenza, ad I got my scientific degree at "Liceo G.B. Quadri" in Vicenza, with 80/100.

I did my Bachelor Degree in Computer Science at the University of Padua, that I completed in September 2011 (110/110 final rank) with the thesis "Redesign of the website of the degrees in Computer Science of the University of Padua".

Further, I continued my academic studies with the Master Degree in Computer Science, Curriculum in Artificial Intelligence, that I completed in October 2012, summa cum laude, with the thesis "Development of a system for the assessment and the rehabilitation of children affected by CVI (Cerebral Visual Impairment)".

My PhD program started in January 2013, under the supervision of Prof. Ombretta Gaggi, and finished in December 2015. I discussed my thesis entitled "Smartphones as ubiquitous devices for behavior analysis and better lifestyle promotion" in March 2016 and will receive my PhD diploma around November 2016. During my PhD I focused my attention and research on how it is possible to use smartphone to understand users' behavior and feelings and which are the best strategies to help people to change their behavior for a healthier one.

From January 2016, I am a member of the Quality of Life (QoL) group, of the Institute of Services Science, University of Geneva, Switzerland. I am currently a PostDoctoral Researcher under the supervision of Prof. Katarzyna Wac, working on stress recognition using smartphone interaction analysis, and hot to improve individuals' quality of life using smartphones. I am currently involved in the CoME project for helping older people to have a healthy lifestyle.
