“Efficient representation of supply and demand curves on day-ahead electricity markets”
Wednesday 10 June 2020 h. 14:30 - Zoom - Marija Soloviova (Dipartimento di Matematica “Tullio Levi-Civita”)
Accurate modeling and forecasting electricity demand and prices are very important issues for decision making in deregulated electricity markets.
In this seminar I will explain some basic facts about price formation process in day-ahead electricity market, then I will speak mainly about the problem of approximation of supply and demand curves, with a special attention to Italian case. Finally, I will show how supply and demand curves evolve as stochastic processes in functional spaces.
