Abstract

In 1990 Witten conjectured that a certain generating series of intersection numbers on the moduli space of curves is a so-called tau function of the KdV hierarchy. This was the first result connecting the geometry of the moduli space of curves and integrable systems.

Recently, Buryak, Dubrovin, Guere and Rossi used the double ramification hierarchies and their quantization to introduce quantum tau functions. The goal of the talk is to present a conjectural description of the coefficients of the quantum tau functions in terms of intersection numbers with a particular class on the moduli space curves called a Chiodo class.
